Malibu Road Newsletter Spring 2025

Our Malibu Road Association (MRA) Board sends well wishes to everyone on the road, all Malibu residents, businesses, 1st responders, and related who were affected by the fires. Seems everyone has either a direct or indirect fire related experience and together we hope we can build back the community we all love and cherish. We especially wish to thank our fire fighters, 1st responders, who protected the city and properties and kept us safe.

Malibu road was fortunate in that only a few homes were directly affected by the fires.

We encourage all residents to be up to date on fire precautions, supplies, exit routes, websites and radio stations. See our important contact information on our website.

Good news ! – If you’re reading our newsletter you will know by now that PCH reopened Fri, May 23, 8AM, no passes needed. 2 lanes each direction, 25 MPH. Please drive responsibly.

We look forward to seeing everybody back on the road, walking their dogs, enjoying a meal at one of our many restaurants and eateries. Let’s support our local businesses !

The weather has been beautiful, and summer is almost here. Lets enjoy it !

Stay tuned for our annual MRA members party. It’s a fun event and great way to meet your neighbors and friends. All you have to do is join the MRA !

The MRA is proud to report that we continue to use our energies to make our lovely stretch of Paradise even better.

Also, with annual membership dues, and fees we collect from filming and photo permits, we provide and maintain, on residents’ behalf, the radar signs along the road, plus the following services and other accomplishments listed below.

  • Keep the Road clean, with our group of paid sweepers every Sunday.
  • Keep you informed about major issues facing the Road via our newsletter, at our Annual Meeting and by e-mail when necessary.
  • Work hard to prevent the MRCA group from ever allowing CAMPING along the Bluff’s Park above Malibu Road.
  • Other successes include getting the city to repave our road, the installation of calming devices along the road, installation and maintenance of radar speed signs along with monitoring high speed drivers.
  • Working with Beaches and Harbors Department to prevent gate access after hours and bonfires on the beach.
  • Collect fees for filming and photo-shoots along Malibu Road – fees which help pay for services and keep our dues low.

Please be aware that this will be the last newsletter being sent by mail as we are transitioning into a digital means of communication. In order for you to receive all of our updates and important information, please print your name, address, email and phone # on the form so we can include you in our database.

Together let’s make 2025 a year of collaboration and progress. We encourage everyone to get involved, share your ideas, and support one another. Our community thrives on the contributions of each member, and we are confident that with your participation, we will achieve great things.
